National Chocolate Souffle Day (February 28th)

Image
Quick facts When is it? Every February 28th Tagged as Chocolate Dessert Food & Drink What are the hashtags? #ChocolateSouffleDay #NationalChocolateSouffleDay Have we missed something? Though cheese soufflés may be the better-known variety, people who have a sweet tooth are perhaps more likely to prefer a chocolate soufflé instead. And, with that in mind, it’s time to celebrate and enjoy everything to do with this delicious dessert, because it’s time for National Chocolate Souffle Day!  History of Chocolate Souffle Day A soufflé is a type of cake made from a custard base and egg whites beaten to a soft peak. It can then be flavored as desired. No one knows this dish’s exact History , since it has probably been around as long as eggs, flour and milk. However, the original idea and recipe for soufflé is believed to have originated in a recipe book called La Cusinier Moderne, by French Cook Vincent La Chappelle, published as long ago as 1742. Chappelle was one

Morrowind Mod Removes Morrowind

Someone going by the name of CaffeineSnake on NexusMods recently took the bold step of removing the main location from Morrowind, Vvardenfell. As you might expect, this leaves nothing in the Game world but open ocean, apart of course from Solstheim if you have the Bloodmoon expansion. When it comes to their motivation, CaffeineSnake simply stated "Vvardenfell removed because y'all can't behave." The mod in question, Morrowind Removed, was initially seen as a joke, but some players have been curious enough to try out the mod for themselves, most notably the YouTuber Micky D who commented about the experience on Twitter. Attempting to use the mod with the original Game has resulted in error messages which prevented quite a few players from launching the Game , but the problem can apparently be solved by using the OpenMW source port. Giannis Antetokounmpo injury update: Bucks star doubtful for 2021 NBA Finals rematch with Suns on Sunday

MILWAUKEE --  Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is doubtful for his team's 2021 NBA Finals rematch with the Phoenix Suns on Sunday due to a right quad contusion. Antetokounmpo suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Bucks' 128-99 victory over the Miami Heat on Friday night -- a result that gave Milwaukee the longest winning streak in the league this season at 13 games.  A team spokesperson initially said that Antetokounmpo "knocked knees" with a Heat player, which Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer confirmed during his postgame press conference. After further evaluation, however, the team is now calling it a quad contusion.  "We'll see how he feels tomorrow," Budenholzer said following the win over the Heat. "Just evaluate him and take it day-by-day."  With just over a minute remaining in the first quarter, Antetokounmpo briefly posted up on the right

Police reportedly respond to Julia Faustyna’s belief she could be missing girl Madeleine McCann

Police in Poland have reportedly responded to a young woman’s claims she could be missing girl Madeleine McCann. Julia Faustyna, 21, who has been identified by several other names online including Julia Wendell and Julia Wandelt, recently went viral over her claims that she could be McCann, who was three when she vanished from a Portuguese hotel room while on holiday with her parents in 2007. She cites similarities in her age and some aspects of appearance in justifying the claim. Watch the latest news and stream for free on 7plus >> Her parents earlier dismissed the claims. Now, it appears police are doing the same. Paweł Noga from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wroclaw, in the country’s’s west, told local news outlet Gazeta they had “ruled out” her version of events, according to an English translation of the article. “The actions taken by the police officers from the Provincial Police Headquarters at this stage contradict the version presented by this woman,” the tran

Mysteriously bright flash is a black hole jet pointing straight toward Earth, astronomers say

Image
Earlier this year, astronomers were keeping tabs on data from the Zwicky Transient Facility, an all-sky survey based at the Palomar Observatory in California, when they detected an extraordinary flash in a part of the sky where no such light had been observed the night before. From a rough calculation, the flash appeared to give off more light than 1,000 trillion suns.     The team, led by researchers at NASA, Caltech, and elsewhere, posted their discovery to an astronomy newsletter, where the signal drew the attention of astronomers around the world, including scientists at MIT. Over the next few days, multiple telescopes focused in on the signal to gather more data across multiple wavelengths in the X-ray, ultraviolet, optical, and radio bands, to see what could possibly produce such an enormous amount of light. Now, the MIT astronomers along with their collaborators have determined a likely source for the signal. In a study appearing in  Nature Astronomy , the scientists r

Overwatch 2 Is Reworking Junkrat And Cassidy For Season 3

Overwatch 2 season three is already two weeks old, and even though it will be the sequel's first season without a new hero, devs have outlined changes to particular members of the existing roster that are in the works. Specifically, Junkrat and Cassidy, who are currently top priorities when it comes to balancing all of Overwatch's heroes. A number of Blizzard devs fielded questions on what's to come in Overwatch 2 during a recent AMA (thanks, PC Game sN). Alec Dawson, the Game 's lead hero designer, answered questions about who will be balanced next, beginning with Cassidy and detailing what the team is trying to do. Referencing the hero's flashbang grenade, which was replaced by a magnetic one for the sequel, Dawson explained the goal with Cassidy is to “bring back more synergy”. Final Fantasy 14 Concept Art Reveals Zero Was Designed To Look "Genderless"

Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker introduced a new character called Zero. She's a Voidsent, i.e. from the Thirteenth Shard, and she looks an awful lot like Vampire Hunter D, another badass in all-black with a cool hat. On the topic of her design, according to concept artist Ayumi Namae, she was asked to make Zero look androgynous. This was revealed in an email interview with Game r, as translated by Twitch streamer and Aitai Japan Inc CEO aitaikimochi. Namae worked closely with Square Enix to design Zero, and this involved giving her a masculine skeleton with a handsome face, and Namae says that she specifically angled her hat in such a way as to mystify her features. Extraterrestrial message to humanity: “Do you want us to show up?

Image
According to thousands and thousands of documents relating to extraterrestrial communication, there are five clear signs they intend to spread. The first is linked to biodiversity. Space tourists believe that humanity is corrupting everything, even our own world. If the problem is not corrected in the immediate term, the consequences would be catastrophic. The second is linked to scientific consciousness. A large amount of empirical information was exposed to citizens. Governments, however, keep this information hidden, particularly in North America and Russia. They are used to subject illiterate citizens to communicate scientific communications to scientists. Another has to do with the need for certain artifacts whose usefulness we don’t really realize. There is also a message that seeks to clarify or reveal to us the nature of the Cosmos, as well as the presence of the Creator, what the aliens call the Supreme Intellect. The fifth and final m

2023 NBA All-Star Saturday Night: Mac McClung vaults from G League to Slam Dunk champion

For the first time, the NBA invited a G-League player to the Slam Dunk Contest, and for the first time, a G-Leaguer is now the NBA Slam Dunk champion . Mac McClung, recently signed to a two-way deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, has spent this season playing for the Delaware Blue Coats, but when he faced off against three NBA players the league chose, he took them down and earned the trophy with four of the best dunks the contest has seen in years. The first involved quite a bit of showmanship. McClung jumped over two people -- with one sitting on another one's shoulders -- grabbed the ball from the higher of the two, tapped the ball off the backboard before throwing it down. Something big in our solar system has tilted the sun by 6 degrees.

Image
Experts say that compared to the sun’s equator, our Sun is tilted by about 6 degrees. Since the 1970s, astronomers have not been able to figure out why this is happening. Now, experts think they may have found a solution: Planet Nine. Elizabeth Bailey works at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena as an astrophysicist and planetary scientist.       She says that planet nine tilted our sun by six degrees and that the missing planet may have also tilted the other planets over the course of the solar system ’s History . Planet Nine is a celestial body that hasn’t been found yet but is thought to be at the very edge of our solar system . Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown predicted its existence in January 2016. Experts say that all of the planets in our solar system move around the sun in a flat plane that is within a few degrees of each other. But experts say that plane rotates at a six-degree angle to the sun, which makes it look like the sun isn’t in the

NBA must fix its load management problem by working with players to protect the popularity of the NBA

Hit 'em where it hurts. That seems to be the idea behind an idea first reported by The Athletic that would go after the overabundance of load management by tying NBA awards to games played for the players striving to win them. Though short on details, the notion centers on making a number of appearances a key factor for the big honors handed out each season.  Load management has, clearly, gone too far. Fans missing out on seeing stars, over and over, for rest disguised as injuries. There are too many instances to list.  The NBA has a real problem here. This idea, floated in the media, nebulous in its details though it may be, has a ring of potential to it. Yet in conversations with decision makers around the league, the idea of using awards to force players to play more games had two common responses: It's a great idea. And fat chance it works -- or even happens.

Red Dead Series Gets Exhibition In National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

VIdeo games are a relatively new form of media when compared to the classics like literature, painting, and sculptures. The video game industry itself is barely concerned with its own preservation and history, so it's nice to see a museum picking up the slack. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City has set up an exhibition on how we play as cowboys, and it includes games from the Red Dead series. News of this exhibition was shared to the Red Dead Online subreddit. There's a picture showing part of a museum display case with Red Dead Revolver, Gun, Lucky Luke. and Red Dead Redemption 2 inside. It's part of an exhibition titled, 'You Have Died of Dysentery: The Ways We Play Western', referencing a famous line from The Oregon Trail.
