Sony Denies Cutting PS VR2 Production Amidst Slow Pre-Orders

Sony has denied an earlier report that it has cut production of the upcoming PS VR 2 headset due to slower-than-expected pre-orders. Speaking to Game sIndustry.biz, a Sony spokesperson said that it had "not cut PlayStation VR2 production numbers." The spokesperson added the company was "seeing enthusiasm from PlayStation fans for the upcoming launch, which includes more than 30 titles such as Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Call of the Mountain, and Resident Evil Village." Related: PlayStation DualSense Edge Review - The Only Flaw Is The Price Bloomberg reported yesterday that Sony had cut its sales forecast for the PS VR 2 by 50 percent. Originally planning to sell 2 million during its launcher quarter, the report alleged Sony had reduced that number to just 1 million, with plans to ship 1.5 million units during its first full fiscal year. Sources blamed poor pre-order numbers for the reduction. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Th

Markelle Fultz 'thankful' for time with 76ers ahead of first game in Philadelphia since 2019 trade

It's been a tumultuous road for former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz since being selected by the Philadelphia 76ers back in 2017. After averaging over 23 points per game in college and entering the draft with high praise for his two-way game, Fultz's career unraveled almost immediately due to injuries. A complicated shoulder injury, which received significant attention during his time in Philadelphia, limited Fultz to just 33 games over his two years with the Sixers. Following an unsuccessful start to his career in Phildelphia, the Sixers traded Fultz to the Orlando Magic at the 2019 NBA trade deadline, where he's remained since.  Injuries have again been an issue for Fultz during his time with the Magic, most notably an ACL tear just eight Game s into the 2020-21 season which sidelined him for much of the following year as well. He also suffered a fractured toe to start this season, but since retu

Mario Fans Debate Which Character Should Be Removed From The Series Forever

Times are tough out there. Tech companies around the world are laying off staff as everyone expects a recession to hit in the next few months--assuming we're not already in one. So far, we haven't heard about any layoffs at Nintendo, but you gotta assume there's going to at least be some belt-tightening at the home of Mario. And with that in mind, I felt that this ResetEra thread from user Spring-Loaded was especially topical. Not every Mario character draws in the kinds these days, so Spring-Loaded asked: "If you could erase one Mario character from existence, who would it be?" A natural gold nugget worth $200,000 was discovered

Two miners have struck gold at their Dunolly mine site with the discovery of a nugget worth over $200,000. Neville Perry and Mick Clark discovered the 2.5 kilogram gold nugget in October last year while filming for the television program Aussie Gold Hunters. Dubbed Charlie’s Pride after the gully it was unearthed in, Mick said he and Neville were particularly excited to have found the nugget on camera. “The purity of this gold is 99.7, which is exceptional for a natural nugget,” Mick said. “It’s not the biggest piece we’ve ever found but it’s certainly up there. What excited us is that it’s the biggest nugget ever filmed on television in the world.” Neville, from the Dunolly region and Mick, from Western Australia, were avid prospectors for many years before whole heartedly committing to their passion and becoming full time gold miners. After careful research, the pair purchased their large property near Dunolly three years ago in an area well known for

Antetokounmpo has been dealing with a lingering knee issue that has kept him out of the lineup since Jan. 11.  All along, the Bucks have maintained that they have no concerns about this being any sort of significant injury . Head coach Mike Budenholzer said Tuesday prior to their win over the Toronto Raptors that they "expect for him to be ready to go soon," but will continue taking things day by day. He also indicated there has been no setback throughout this process, and the decision for him to continue sitting is based on communication between Antetokounmpo and the medical group about how his knee feels.  "We continue to think it's the stuff that he and us have dealt with -- for me it's each year that I've been here," Budenholzer said on M

Mars looks more vivid than ever in new photos from Perseverance rover

Image
NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover is sending back stunning images as it explores an ancient river delta in Jezero crater for signs of life Space 15 June 2022 An ancient river delta photographed by NASA’s Mars Perseverance rover NASA/JPL-Caltech/ASU This alien landscape looks like a film set, but these are real pictures taken by NASA’s Perseverance rover . Since landing on Mars in February 2021, Perseverance has been scouring the Martian landscape for signs of microbial life by taking samples, measurements and photographs. The rover has been exploring Jezero crater, a 28-mile-wide depression created by an impact. The site once hosted an ancient river. The strange scene pictured above, taken by Perseverance’s Mastcam-Z camera on 12 June, was probably formed over millions of years of geological activity related to that river, in a build-up of rocks and sediment called a delta. This area is a likely candidate for evidence of ancient life, if it existed.   Advertisement

The Nintendo Switch was always going to be a Game changer for the industry, but few foresaw the juggernaut it would go on to become. Talking to Nikkei, president Shuntaro Furukawa explained Nintendo wants to provide Entertainment different from anyone else. A mantra it has lived by for years. Logic "Conned" His Way Into An Audition For Jesse In The Last Of Us Part 2

Logic is a big fan of The Last of Us. The rapper, grammy-award winner, Twitch streamer and YouTuber recently uploaded a video where he detailed how he managed to get into auditions for Naughty Dog's classic and even landed a part. The pretext for the video was that he was asked by a fan what his favourite video Game story was (it's The Last Of Us, surprise surprise), which sets Logic on his story. While "conned" is kind of overdoing it, Logic certainly parlayed his connections into setting it all up (via Pushsquare). RI Weather for January 17, 2023 – John Donnelly

Image
by John Donnelly, meteorologist A weak area of low pressure runs out ahead of the larger system over the great Lakes and provides at least the chance for some light showers in the evening hours. Before that, however, we’ll return to the above normal temperatures (no complaints here…), highs expected to reach the mid 40’s from morning lows around 30. Winds lighten up and shift to a dry west-southwesterly direction. ___ John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst where the McCabe’s, Donnelly’s, Walker’s and Callan’s have been since after the Civil War . Source: https://thefoxpos

DC SnyderVerse Fans Want Warner Bros. To Sell It To Netflix
