White Sox Betting Preview
Chicago enters at 34-46 after losing to Los Angeles. The White Sox came up short at the plate once again to take another one-run defeat, and they’ll look to return the favor here Tuesday. The Chicago offense is 4.72 scoring runs per Game, while batting .235, with a .292 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 5.72 ERA, with a 1.21 WHIP. Luis Robert followed up his strong series against Boston by going deep in Game one to supply the only run, and he leads Chicago in home runs (22), with 43 RBI. Andrew Vaughn has produced a run in four of the previous seven Games, and he leads the Sox in RBI (45), with twelve homers. Andrew Benintendi has collected a hit in eight of the last ten contests, and he’s batting a team-lead .282.
Michael Kopech (3-6, 4.06 ERA, 94 Ks) will get the call for Chicago. The fourth-year right-hander didn’t do much in his start last week against Texas, allowing three runs in four innings en route to his sixth loss of the season. Kopech has cooled off a bit after a strong month of May, as he’s been winless over his last five starts. Kopech faced the Angels at home last month, and although he managed to strike out ten batters, he allowed four runs in 4.1 innings, and took the losing decision.

Angels Betting Preview
Los Angeles moved to 42-37 after Chicago. The Angels got back into the win column in a dramatic way last night, and they'll look to double down here in Game two. The LAA offense is scoring 4.16 runs per Game, while batting .252, with a .331 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 4.33 ERA, with a 1.27 WHIP. Mike Trout scored the winning run last night on a wild pitch, and he’s posting splits of .253/17/41. Brandon Drury has recorded a hit in ten of the last eleven contests, and he’s second on the team in RBI (43), with twelve homers. Hunter Renfroe is posting a similar line of .257/11/39.
Shohei Ohtani (6-3, 3.13 ERA, 117 Ks) will take the mound for LAA. The two-way superstar delivered his finest outing of the season last week in a Freeway Series matchup with the Dodgers, tossing twelve strikeouts over seven innings of work, while allowing just one run. The start felt like a bounce back spot for Ohtani, and he has a good chance to keep things rolling here against the Sox. Ohtani also homered in the Game one win, and he’s leading LAA in batting (.297), home runs (26), and RBI (62).
Chicago vs Anaheim Trends
Chi Sox are 35-34 against the spread this season, with a 35-39-6 O/U record. LA Angels are 38-32 ATS this year, with a 36-38-6-5 over/under record.
Corey’s Free Pick
The Angels snuck away with a win in Game one, but they will indeed be sending the best player in the world to the hill on Tuesday, and we shouldn’t shy away. Regardless of how pesky these White Sox can be, Shohei Ohtani pitching at home is worth all of our trust, especially coming off of that gem in the Freeway Series. After homering and stealing a crucial base in the ninth last night, Ohtani has a chance to put together another trademark series with a strong outing here, just as he did against Texas less than two weeks ago. Trust the Angels here in Game two.
